WE'RE FILMING!
2022 will be the Great Brewery Tour's fifth year on the road! Other than a three month hiatus due to Covid, Dennis has been on a perpetual tour since 2018, playing music in craft breweries, meeting the brewers, and blogging about the travel, breweries, and beer. Hundreds of breweries in more than 30 states... from Maine to Florida, and as far west as Texas (our West Coast tours were canceled due to Covid in 2020 and 2021).
Now picture a fun (and funny) documentary/reality TV show... following Dennis, his son (and fellow musician and beer lover, and Freak Mythology front man) Brad, and a crew of misfits and artists as we keep the great American tradition of hopping a train, joining the circus, and taking the great road trip alive. Forging our own path all over the country, finding adventure and mischief as we chase our passions for playing live music and discovering great beers (and interesting characters) at craft breweries from coast to coast!
The first episode will be filmed in Cincinnati, a city that was once the primary beer producing city in America, didn't really recover after Prohibition, and has now risen once again as one of the biggest and best markets in the current explosion of craft breweries. We'll dive into the city's history in brewing, explore the old brewery tunnels created under the city and how they utilized them, and visit an exciting craft brewery that now resides in a historic brewery building from the past, restored and in service as one of the city's best brewery, distillery, and taprooms... the fantastic Northern Row Brewery & Distillery. We'll meet the owners and brewmeister, talk (and drink!) beer, and then premiere the brand new Great Brewery Band... fronted by Dennis and Brad, and joined by various friends!
